HackOmics builds software for biology.

We build software for labs, research groups and biotech teams: tools to run an experiment, to handle the data it produces, and to get to an answer someone can act on.

What we build

Analysis
Software for experimental biology. The day-to-day work of turning measurements into results, in tools that fit how an experiment is actually run rather than asking the science to fit the software.
Pipelines
Biological data arrives large, messy, and in formats that disagree with each other. Processing that gets it clean, consistent and repeatable, so the same input still gives the same output next year.
Applications
A result is only useful once the person who needs it can see it. Dashboards, browsers, internal tools: whatever carries a finding out of the analysis and to the people who have to decide something.

How we work

We design with the people doing the experiments, not for them at a distance. The requirements that matter tend to show up after a first release, so that is where we intend to still be.

Scientific software has to be right, and it has to be shown to be right. We would rather ship something plain we can verify than something impressive we cannot.

And what we build should be yours to run — your infrastructure, your data, no dependence on us to keep the lights on.
